I got what I asked for!

I asked William to pick up his stuffed animals and put them in the baskets; which are stored in his closet. I must say he did a great job of stacking biggest to smallest, and I'll be damned he didn't get every last one on!

In honor of husbands everywhere, especially mine! :)

A Woman's Poem
He didn't like the casserole
And he didn't like my cake.
He said my biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn't perk the coffee right
He didn't like the stew,
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and smacked the sh** out of him...
Like his mother used to do

Reading to the children is so important!

We believe there is nothing more important than reading to your children. We have read "James and the Giant Peach", "Charollettes Web", and currently "Arthur and the Invisibles". William is reading very well now, and Noah is interested in sets.

I can't believe its January!

You know its been pretty cold at night here (30's) and extremelly windy. But the days are clear and in the mid 70's. My tulips are up, the roses are still blooming, global warming any one?

So, do you believe in miracles?

I do! Dad has finally started painting the house. It has been cracked since the 1994 earthquake, but hey..what's the rush right? I am so excited and think he has done a great job, all by hand with a brush. Of course I helped patch some cracks, and the kids were cheering him on. William is telling everyone that "Papa painted the house for my birthday!" Good job Papa Drayton!

Happy New Year!

Well 2007 is finally here! Its been a whirlwind year, the boys are growing so fast! Noah is talking in complete sentences now, William is excited to be 6 in a few weeks, I am in my final semester of prerequisites for the RN program; and Joe should be starting a new job at Pratt and Whitney! All our love and wishes to you all for a wonderful 2007!
