6 Finally!

Williams birthday party!

It never rains in California right? Well it did on Williams party. Luckily we were up at O dark thirty (AM) to prepare.

The kids had a planting class by Aunt Donnie, a pinata, and generally ran around like maniacs foe 2 hours.

William had a great time, and he loved his homemade cake! All in all it was a wonderful Harry Potter Party!

So I know everyone is curious how she looks right? She looks wonderful! Motherhood suits her well!

Burbank Fire Dept.Ride Along!

This was my favorite part of the day! We went over to see the Airport Fire Dept. They were very nice and took us for a ride on the HUGE crash response fire vehicle. I mean HUGE, it is so big that it is at least 6 feet from the cab to the ground! The firemen, Rick; sat in the middle to drive. Joe and I sat on either side of him with seat belts and held the kids on our laps. We went all the way down the runway. It is seriously bouncy inside, the seats even have shocks! Once we made it to the end, he lit off the water cannons from inside and sprayed the grass for awhile, really amazing power!
Then on the way back we went Code 3, lights and sirens; and were hauling butt down the runway! It was so awesome, I wanted to go again! LOL!

You can take the boy out of the country, but not the country out of the boy! This was a huge forklift, William was impressed!

Noah was so excited to come see Daddy at work! Turns out there is an abundance of "cool" tractors and stuff to play on! He was so excited he didn't know where to go first! First they sat in the Bobcat, and then it was time to ride the John Deere!

Snow day?

Today we braved fierce wind on the highways, Mom's panic induced moments, and cold temperatures (30's!); to go to the snow. Now being from Minnesota I know Joe is capable of driving in snow and ice, but darn it; if the sign says "Chains Required Beyond this Point", well the truck stops here!!Noah went absolutley bonkers at the sight of these giant tractors! We had to stop and take pictures and let the boys, all 3 play on them!

Happily we were able to find some dirty ice capable of sending us downhill at quick sled speeds, so after 30 minutes of that we were ready to get our Starbucks!

I got what I asked for!

I asked William to pick up his stuffed animals and put them in the baskets; which are stored in his closet. I must say he did a great job of stacking biggest to smallest, and I'll be damned he didn't get every last one on!
