Happy Mothers Day!

So I have worked nearly everyday for 8 months or so, hundreds of hours of time. This is the result, it is a counted cross stitch called "Mothers Arms". I made it for my big sister who is pregnant and due any day now with twin boys. I added in the baby on the left myself. I estimate there to be roughly 58,000 individual stitches, and at least a 1000+ beads! Katherine did the birds and the nest, and a tad more; but I can say this was my first encompassing project I ever completed! I thought I should share it with all of you, as I am so proud of it!

Father-son Leprachaun trap

This was a project that was sent home from school. The kids are supposed to design and build thier own Leprachaun trap, with the help of their family. Well 2 weeks later this is the result. Joe painstakingly tied and glued branches together, and developed a lever-spring device that attaches to the pot of gold. It is very technical. To quote Joe " I wish the teachers would send home easier projects!" I had to remind him that there were no instructions how to build it, and that any technical difficulty came out of his own creative design! :)
But, it is a huge hit at school with the other kids, and William is very proud. Can't wait for the advanced science project days!
And here's Noah, showing us his train! Notice the sunshine? Yeah, it was 90 degrees!

The first official Viehauser snowman ever!!!

It's a snow dragon crossed with a deer or something! It was fun to make at any rate. We all recieved a lesson or two on the fine art of making him, thanks to Daddy! The spikes are courtesy of some unfortunate sledder whose sled shattered into tiny pieces.
Aren't we cute?
My boys!
